I’d rather em… not talk about why.
Between all of Seth’s yelling and Roxy’s desperate confusion, the doctors must have swung around. When they began carrying Seth as roughly as they were, a spark ignited in Roxanne. She couldn’t even begin to concieve what was coming over when she screamed, desperately tearing the doctors away from her friend. “Hey!” She shouted, nearly swinging at the doctor. “Get the fuck off of him! You’re goddamn lucky I don’t come after you with malpractice charges. Here he is, in pain and you’re making it fucking worse!” She screamed, inches away from the doctor’s face. She could see him cowering slightly and stormed to Seth’s side. “I swear to God if you give him anything, you’ll be dealing with my legal team, and believe me, you’ll lose your license before they even get here.” She threatened menacingly. “Get the hell out of here, we’re no longer in need of your services.” The doctors slowly began backing out of the room, and a sickeningly sweet smile came to Roxy’s lips. “Oh, and doctor…” She called out as sweet as sugar. “I’ll be signing Seth’s release forms. He’ll be staying in my care until further notice. He’s my…step brother.” She turned to Seth wide suddenly worried eyes. “Are you okay, did they hurt you at all? I swear to God, I’ll take this whole hospital if…”
Roxanne felt eyes on her and turned around slowly, thinking a doctor was still lingering. Instead, she met the eyes of two innocent little girls. She recognized the one girl, Jenny, right away. She breathed out heavily and took a cautious step toward them. “Are you girls okay? Those doctors…they don’t, do what they did to Uncle Seth do to you do they?” She practically whispered, now kneeling in front of the girls. She studied their faces for any hint of an answer, knowing she’d find a way to take them with her if she had to. No one deserved to be treated how she’d just seen Seth. She felt sick at the very thought.
Seth walked over to Jenny and Sally, kneeling in front of them. They looked back and forth from Seth and Roxy. They both shook their heads no. Sally looked at Seth, he saw a small tear in her eye that literally broke his heart into a million and one pieces. “Sethy… did they hurt you?” She asked worried as she saw the hand marks on his upper arms. Seth looked at them, inspecting them carefully. “No, no babe they didn’t hurt me.” Jenny looked over at Seth, she looked as though she just saw a ghost. “Uncle Seth, we know they hurted you. Just like the aliens hurted us.” She pointed to his upper arms, where the red hand marks were perfectly visible. Seth and Roxy exchanged a glance, and looked back at the two girls.
Suddenly, he felt two small lips on each cheek, and little arms wrapped around his neck. “Are you leaving us Sethy?” Jenny asked as they both rested their small heads on his shoulders, almost sounding broken and sad. Seth felt a tear fall on his cheek, not even realizing that he was about to start crying. He didn’t know what to say, what was he supposed to say? If he said no, by the looks of it he’ll be lying. If he said yes, they would be heart broken.
